DJF Kitchen #2: Sweeten up!!

I’ve put together some sweet treats for my second instalment of DJF Kitchen. Whether it’s Jello, parfait or peanut butter that gets your taste buds going, I’ve got you catered for. All with a nod to my time in China!!

DJF Protein Jell-O: 
1 scoop (fruit flavored)protein powder
1 package sugar free jell-o powder
Make jell-o , mix in one scoop fruit flavored protein powder, and place into the fridge.
Delicious after a tough run on the Kowloon Promenade or just a Sunday treat.

Protein Powered  Parfait:
2 cups mixed chopped berries
2 cups of sugar free yogurt or pudding
1 scoop protein powder
Mix protein powder in with yogurt or pudding. Layer fruit and pudding/yogurt in a tall glass. Top  with fat free cool whip.
Enjoy on a relaxed HK day.

 

Protein Powered Peanut Butter Balls:
3/4 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup of raw whole oats
1/4 cup honey
1  1/2 scoop chocolate or vanilla protein powder
Mix all ingredients,  form small 1″ balls, put in the fridge, and prepare for heaven.

High in protein, and low in saturated fats; use sparingly as a healthy & tasty option.
