I’ve posted a recipe every Wednesday for the last few weeks. Breaking from tradition (before anyone even noticed there was one ;p), I want to talk about seasonal superfoods. Eating well is as important as putting the hours in at the gym; and there’s more to it than protein. Which is why it’s worth reading this run-through from Huffington Post on the essential things to have on your plate in April.
Did you know that potassium, magnesium, calcium and phosphorus are all essential ingredients in letting your muscles contract smoothly and effectively? Which in turn keeps the heart beating in a regular and efficient fashion? And that vitamin C is key to the formation of connective tissues in muscles? Or, hardest question of all, what kohlrabi is?!?
