Weekend Recap
Monday’s here, and while you may be back at the same desk, this week’s different: you have the David Janik Fitness blog in your life! We’ve been gearing things up slowly but surely over the weekend. If you follow us on Facebook and Twitter, you’ll hopefully have come across our tips, quotes and a recommended article. As we work out our tweets from our pokes, this gives a brief glimpse at the content we’ll be sharing with you through this blog and our social media network.
Our #DJFTips contain the very best of David’s fitness and nutrition advice, crafted to tweet-sized perfection. So, we shared with you that: “The #squat is the single most important exercise in the #gym. It’s a compound movement, w multiple joints in action“. Another great piece of advice for your workouts was: “#SlowDown: It’s not about the speed or how many #reps you get in a set rather the quality of the form and technique!” And we also had some straightforward, but essential, words of nutrition wisdom: “#ChewIt – Most #calories should come from #food that you chew, not from drinks!”.
Our #DJFQuotes have been accumulated over 20 years in the fitness industry. Intended to inspire, a great example here is from Ralph Waldo Emerson: “Unless u try to do something beyond what u have already mastered, you will never grow.” We share them with you to take into gym sessions and workouts, to promote energy and enjoyment and help you match up to your full potential.
A great example of how – with the correct attitude and fitness program – any challenge is possible came in our recommended article: “The Mom who climbed Mount Kilimanjaro“. It tells the story of a mother who, at a loss for what to do once her children left home, set her sights on africa’s highest peak. After three months of training six days a week, she successfully completed the nine-day hike. If you feel inspired, it’s not too late for a New Year’s Resolution!
Stay tuned for more of the same, we look forward to seeing you back here.
