DJF Kitchen: Anabolic Oatmeal

After my Manhattan Seven omelet recipe last weeks, here’s another awesome breakfast option for you. The whey powder here packs in the protein, while the old fashioned oats keep your energy levels up for the day. Add fresh or dried fruit, and you’ve got the perfect way to kickstart the morning.

 

Anabolic Oatmeal

A fantastic,complete anabolic breakfast providing sustained energy and a protein power punch.

 

Prep Time: 2 minutes
Cook Time: 2 minutes
Total Time: 4 minutes

 

Ingredients:
Whey Protein Powder (could be any flavor- 1.5 scoops for guys and 1 scoop for girls
Old Fashioned Oats – 1/2 cup for guys and 1/3 cup for girls
Water

 

Preparation:
Measure 1/3 to 1/2 cup of oatmeal depending on gender and pour in a container.
Fill in with enough water to just slightly cover the oats.
Microwave for 2 minutes. 1.5 minutes should suffice for 1/3 a cup and 2 minutes is enough when using 1/2 cup.

 

Let oatmeal cool a bit for 1 minute
Add  1-1.5 scoops (depending on gender) of whey protein of your choice and flavor.
Stir up powder with oats using a spoon and if too thick add a bit of water so that you achieve a nice consistency.
